Liverpool welcome Manchester City to Anfield on Sunday 11 October, with kick-off at 4.30pm BST, in the standout fixture of Matchday 6 of the Premier League. Enzo Maresca's City arrive top of the table with five wins from five and 15 points. Andoni Iraola's Liverpool are sixth on nine points, six behind, and are one of the sides still unbeaten in the league.

When and where is Liverpool v Manchester City?

The game was originally due on Saturday but Liverpool confirmed it had been moved back a day to Sunday 11 October at 4.30pm BST. UK viewers can watch it live on Sky Sports. It is the first league match for both sides since the international break, which began after the weekend of 19-20 September.

How do Manchester City arrive?

City are the only team in the division with a perfect record. They have scored 13 goals and conceded five, and their last outing was a chaotic 5-3 win over Sunderland at the Etihad on 20 September. Enzo Fernández opened the scoring from a ninth-minute free-kick, Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo (twice) added goals, and Erling Haaland sealed it in the 81st minute. Sunderland's Brian Brobbey scored a hat-trick and still finished on the losing side.

That goal meant Haaland has now scored against every Premier League opponent he has faced, according to the Premier League's own round-up. Before that, City had won 1-0 at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

How do Liverpool arrive?

Iraola's side have drawn three and won two of their opening five matches. They have scored seven and conceded four. Their most recent game was a 1-0 win at Bournemouth on 20 September, when Alexander Isak scored after 57 minutes. It was Iraola's second league win as Liverpool head coach, on his return to the club he used to manage, and Isak's fourth goal of the season, which put him second behind Haaland in the Golden Boot race at that point.

The concern for Liverpool has been at Anfield. They drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest and 0-0 with Fulham in their two home games so far.

Last five league results

Matchday Liverpool Manchester City
1 Newcastle 2-2 Liverpool Man City 2-1 Bournemouth
2 Liverpool 2-2 Nottingham Forest Crystal Palace 1-4 Man City
3 Ipswich 0-2 Liverpool Man City 1-0 Coventry
4 Liverpool 0-0 Fulham Man United 0-1 Man City
5 Bournemouth 0-1 Liverpool Man City 5-3 Sunderland

What is at stake on Sunday?

A City win would take them nine points clear of Liverpool and keep their perfect start intact. A Liverpool victory would cut the gap to three points and end City's run. The other sides near the top also play earlier in the weekend: Arsenal, second on 12 points, host Leeds United on Saturday lunchtime, while third-placed Brighton visit Sunderland the same afternoon.

The following weekend Liverpool travel to Brentford and City host Ipswich Town.
